grip options for Boxgun???

So I am now, or very soon to be (gun is going to be shipped soon) the proud owner of this box gun :

I want to hear from you guys what you think the best grips are for this gun. Obviously it takes 45 grips but the standard wrap grips seem to stand off the front of the frame a little bit. It is a pet peev I have. I had a set of system x grips that stood off of almost every different 45 framed gun i have ever owned. I really loved the feel of the grips but hated how they stood off. The Boxgun loks like it is going to be a tricky one because even with the standard 45 wrap around its got on it, it stands off. Am I stuck just throwing seperate left and right panels on it, or have you guys found a pair that cover all the way around?

What i can say about that gun is that it has a thinner than normal style frame for a Carter. Those grips that are on it are not the best grips. I would say wait until you get the boxgun, and you will see what I mean. You can always get some panels and the Pearce grips to put underneath them.

I was looking at Stinger grips. there are a bunch of templates that are based on a 45 screw patern but are slightly different shapes. which do you think would work best on the humpback frame?

I do like this concept a lot. Stinger also sells something sorta like this but the Pearce cost less. so guess what... Pearce it is!

I'd say go with the Pierce grip and a set of Black Pearlite panels, that's what I use

The nice thing about the Pearce grips is that if they are loose on the front. you can pull them tight make new holes and trim away any excess.
