Mini-comp shoots when pumped
So I just picked up a used Mini-comp and when I pump it the gun shoots. The hammer also catches when the gun isn't aired up. Any advice on what to look at first. I can post some pictures of the inside of the trigger frame, sear, bolt or whatever.

For a little more information,

If I pump slowly the gun won't shoot. However if I twist the pump handle slightly it will fire. I'm thinking the bolt may be worn down and will check and take a picture.

The bolt is not worn at all, very sharp square cut. The sear is also not worn.

Well the cocking when not aired is fine. That means you have a light main and heavy valve spring. No biggie.

Overall it sounds like you have a timing issue between the sear and the sear tripper on the trigger.

Pics could help.

I unscrewed the screw on the bottom of the trigger and that seemed to have fixed it. It is shooting good now.

One other question, what is the best kind of glue to use on the feed tube. It is completely off at the moment. I think I actually might tap a set screw onto the bottom of the feed block but for now I will have to use a little bit of glue.

Not my picture, obviously, but it is this gun. I'll take my own tomorrow if it is nice out.

Going to get some scrubby pads to put in the Whoosh, for extra rain absorbtion of course.

Thanks, I'm happy with it so far. Going to put some paint through it tomorrow. It only has a .683 insert, the old style Sanchez inserts. I'm probably going to try and grab a set of the small inserts from Sanchez.
