Tell me about Tricars...

I recently picked up a Tricar from a member of the forums here, and I don't know much about them.

Basically, I know they:

Are unibody
Carter's cheapest
Were used as rentals

That's about it. Vintage Rex doesn't say when they were made, sold, or discontinued. I plan on referb'ing her, a cool anno job, and just having fun with her. Any tips/pointers/things to watch out for? Any proprietary pieces I need to be aware of, and stock up on?

Oh... I got it for $65. How'd I do?
Carter Machine Tricar Price Dropped to $85!

And because it's MCB, here are some pictures!

... how do I make the pictures smaller?

No one? Well... I guess I'll have to go through it when I get it in and do some research on my own to post here for future reference.

Tricars were produced from 89-91 or so. They were produced in partnership with Tri-J Machine, hence the name. Tri-J ran most of the parts and they were finished and assembled at Carter Machine. They were single arm breech drop guns with fixed barrels. From Earon they were only available in a backbottle config.

There was an article about them in APG around that time, dont recall the exact date though.

great little gun for $65. Bores can be a bit large for current paint, so don't point it down to much.

Bought it, got deployed, came back, got married, shipped to a new duty station in Germany, and now I'm itching to play paintball again.

So, I stripped it apart. I need new springs for dang sure, and new o-rings. Anybody know where I can find those?

Also, the bolt won't latch the hammer. I'm thinking it's a spring issue, but I am not sure. Can anyone out there help me?

Nelson valved markers don't cock when they're not aired up. Worry about the seals first so you can at least air it up, then you'll know if you need to mess with the springs.

I own one.
They are good shooting guns.

I drilled a hole in the stainless insert for the front screw and ran a small piece of fishing line through it as a detent. No rollouts or breaks thus far, though admittedly I haven't played with it much. I intentionally shot sub 68 caliber paint without issue.

Also worth checking to see if your bolt is adjustable. Nice internals.

edit: added a pic, since this is MCB

The bolt is definitely adjustable. when you say "nice internals", what are we talking about here? Kingman Hammer-quality, CCI-quality, Lapco Grey Ghost-quality? I'm new to these pumps... as you can tell, I'm sure.

I don't know that I can directly compare them. But they run smooth and shoot great.
Carter quality.

Do you have a washer around your pump screw that prevents the body from galling? I don't see it, but it might be the angle.
