finishing Question?

Hey guys

I am looking to get a cart pump, but I am looking a used one as I have seen a lot here on the forums for sale, What I am wondering is can I have it refinished, with out totally destroying the gun?

Also , how do they run on HPA?

Bart

You may get the anno stripped or you can finish over the factory anno with a cera-coat type finish. They run louder on compresses air, co2 expands and causes a slightly quieter shot signature.

I have ran my Carter (which is for sale-BTW) on HPA without issues. The velocity needs to be adjusted but that is no big deal.

I have a Carter MINI Buzzard. I was going to get it anno'ed. One concern I ran into was the steel fittings that hold the feed tube and the front of the grip on. They are not removable so they would have to remain installed through striping and anno bath. I talked to 2 anno guys and they both said they could protect the steel parts but if the protective coating failed the parts would corrode. Then replacement from Carter would be required.

I would look at options like powder coat or duracoat which are less destructive if you your future carter have steel fittings holding it together.

When I was ordering my MiniComp I originally wanted the Copper anno, but Lauren said it would fade over time and to have it re-annoed would cost $100. You may want to contact them directly, because that seems like a very fair price if Earon will do all the disassembly/reassembly.

I'm pretty sure that Earon would disassemble and ship to who ever you want to use and then reassemble on the back end. For the piece of mind the cost would be worth it IMO.
