Carters answer to the sterling... kinda sorta.

Having seen images of both sets of internals, it looks a little Falcon-ish.

Wasn't this (semi-permanently) put back on his shelf shortly after this video was shot?

ApoC_101 11-23-2012 03:38 PM

It's prototype that Earon has been working on but has been back burner to other things like customers guns. It's really nice I know Chef got to use it. I only go to hold it as his house.

Wow! Private Label guns before it ever gets released. That's damn impressive.

I was kidding around of course, it actually doesn't have as much in common with a Falcon as it does with a Sterling: notice the full diameter puller/follower piece to catch and pull the hammer, and valve body which is a separate piece: both of these are Sterling design features, essentially unchanged. The Falcons fairly different in this regard since it uses a different hammer design, puller which is integrated into the main guide shaft, and the valve is installed into the body similar to a spyder/cocker (while the back plug serves as a velocity adjuster, and removing it opens the whole valve for service). The main improvement in this Carter prototype is the dual rod design with a halfblock-y kind of sled for quick removable bolt... which is a bolt/cocking arrangement the Falcon also shares (as well as the T2 for that matter).
