12g changer seal

Does anyone know what kind of seal I use for this thing? This is a 12g changer off of a pre-dye buzzard that I just picked up. I was able to get it apart, but the seal looks like a red waxy mess and kind if disintegrated. Was it some kind of rubber washer? It almost seems like it was some sort of wax.

It looks like a crossman puncture pin. Try looking up some different crossman models. The 3357 had one like that.

Thanks guys. I picked up a 00 washer from Ace Hardware. They seem to work fine. About $.70 each. Bacci's site also says those Crosman pierce pins were used in some Rat Attack changers, so I think you're right dukie. Good eye.

I put in a 12g right when I got it and it wouldn't even cock. Internals were bone dry. Their assessments were a little optimistic... lol
