Auto-trigger

Shouldn't Carters inherently have auto-triggers, based on how the valve system operates (Nelson)? How come there is the option on the website for Auto-trigger action, for 25$?

it's not inherent, it's based on sear design.
early nelspots couldn't A/T, even with DF and pump mods, showing the system can be non A/T.

Oh I see, would new Carters now-a-days have auto-triggers automatically? What do you think? A few reviews I read have said that they got auto-triggers without asking for them, but I don't know if that was by design or was an accident.

my 99 slider had it, my 05? buzzard had it too.

in fact, not sure I have ever seen one without it......... then again I haven;t seen any 'new' ones.
for non-DF use, doesn't matter for direct feed with constant air, I'd want it.

When I had my Carter Comp kitted out with the normal receiver the AT worked perfectly. I switched up to one of the original Duck lowers with a sliding trigger and the AT became semi problematic. The height of the trigger didn't always trip the sear to disengage the hammer.

For single shots it worked great and I usually don't AT with Nel-Spot based guns, so the Duck lower stayed on (style over substance LOLS!).

Is the 12 gram changer made by Carter or Bud Orr?

Both. The guts were WGP, but Earon cosmetically changed the handle, etc.

Thanks I had seen a pump changer like that on another Carter marker, and it did look like Carter's machining on Bud's pump change.
