I decided my Comp needed a little weight on the front end; so I whipped up a rain cover. Just tried it out. It works just okay, but an improvement over stock. I am going to experiment with a few different fillers, right now I have a very dense, fine white Scotchbrite pad in there. It's held on with a couple nylon-tipped set screws. The front is removable to clean or change out the pad. I think I might also make another that is a little longer. Not bad for now though, it'll be anodized red to match the rest of the marker. A milled, match ano'd L-stock is in the works as well. I'm really surprised at how nice this Comp is. It is my sixth Carter, and it's definitely a keeper. My wife even likes it! ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, the first time I shot it I got 59 shots each off 2 12 grams. Yes, 59. 55 were legit shots, two of the last four were still useable, and the last two dropped off pretty significantly. Shooting at ~265fps, 80*, about 15 seconds between shots. Not bad...

We use red and white pads at work. I have boxes and boxes of them.

for filler... i recommend trying a cloth diaper; long, long ago in a garage far away i whipped up a rain cover for my lapco wrath using pvc, a cloth diaper, and some wacky synthetic/fiber thing for a cover... the only sound was the hammer hitting the valve... plus cloth diapers are easy to wash

Thanks guys! Stimpy, I'll have to give that a shot. I was wondering if the barrel needed more porting, but maybe not. Most of it is exposed inside the cover. EDDAKA, I don't know if I want to get into making them. Shoot me a pm.

Very nice Fastev. Looks seamless on the Mini Comp.
