Barrel breakage?

Hopefully I've found the culprit to my barrel breaks... me hopes.

Is it plausible that since my sear/lug adjustment was off and causing my bolt to be drawn back off of the ball a little just before the shot... it could be causing my breakage?

I adjusted the sear/lug so that it's very crisp now... when cocked and fired, there is no creep backwards from my bolt now... I didn't think at the time that the screw in the front of my trigger was a set screw to lock down the sear... at least that's what I think it is.

Did I guess correctly?

I wonder the some thing ogg.
.

On my minicomp sometimes when i pull the trigger the bolt will "creep back" And the marker will not fire (rare)

Thanks for the heads up.

EDIT: Even with that tiny problem after some 500 rounds on the comp I haven't broke one ball

Hmmm, I can't on mine. I do however see there are two long screws that "stop" the pump arms from going to far back.

I'll mess with those later.

Mines will catch at times and won't at others though.

well...

Maybe frink/shoot-to-thrill can chime in here....

The two "stops" for the pump rods seem to be to far forward. I can fire my marker easily with air, but dryfiring would be nice so i could fine tune my trigger a bit more.(and just mess around with it more often)

The stops can be adjust through the body, but they take TEENY allen wrenches, and apparently carter loctited the crap out of them too.

They aren't moving anytime soon

I'm assuming frink, your pump rod "stops" are to far backwards?

I'll have to double check, but I don't think my Comp has said 'stops'.

EDDAKA, try lowering the sear release screw on the top of your trigger. Doing sa made the trigger pull on my Comp much smoother and a bit lighter. Just don't go too far as it won't catch reliably.

Mine can dryfire without air, but I've never looked at these stop screws. I'll check tonight.
