Owners lucky enogh to have both...

The Mini, and any of the earlier Buzzards.

Question: Are the snubs the same length?

I'm wondering because if they are... What's stopping you from ordering a new Mini Buzzard slug, and enjoy a trouble free Carter?
Carter realized the potential for refining it by adding a die anchor on the slug, and a recess in the rail so that the two joining ends would maintain a constant alignment during every shot. But should this upgrade cost you 700 shmakers?
Might be worth checking it out.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

That's an interesting idea. I guess you would just have to order a new stock feed too?

Or make a spacer for it?
I'll take measurements of the rail's and snub to check the length ans spacing of the mounting holes in a while so we can get down to the bottom of this.

I doubt that when Carter set out to build the Mini, that he started from scratch?

got measurements of the Mini Buzzard.
Note: All measurements were thaken from end to end, and @ dead center

Rail: Outside frame mounting holes 5"x 10/16
Inside mount holes 4"x 1/16
Snub: Bottom die that lines with rail 3/4" to front end
Top die that joins with stock feed 1" to front end
Frame: Outside mounting holes 4"x 15/16
The two mounting hole at the rear are 14/16"

Now if your rail and frame match these numbers, all you'd have to do is order a new snub for the Mini Buzzard, or better yet... Ask Carter if this is possible, and you can up grade your older Buzzard to Mini specks.

You may also need a stock feed, unless you can finagle a recess for the die on the snub.
Oh, and I replaced the trigger return spring with two rare earths. Not as snappy, but it's sooo light now.

Very cool information there Splatt. I also doubt that Carter started from scratch for the mini-buzzard. I am going to have to break down my buzzard to see if the rail matches up. Just cause.

Ooooh... very cool. I know Buzzards need attention, but this would make them basically trouble free.

I still really want a Mini at some point, but the Garg has stolen the limelight for me at the moment.
