Maybe I'm naive or need sleep, but questions on collar

Hello fine gents of MCB. I usually am not too active on these board, but I hope that doesn't discourage you guys from helping me out.

Anyways, about a year and half ago, I became the owner of a beautiful silver to green fade Buzzard. Now ecstatic as anyone who gets something new they learn the in and outs of it. Learning how to care for this new possession. Well I overtightened the stock class feed onto the collar and ultimately stripping the threads on the collar.

So I preceded to go on to Carter's website "Cartermachine.com" and order a new collar. And so I did. I received the new collar and put it on my buzzard. Now the peculiar thing that struck out about this new collar was that it had a curved top and not a flat top as the one originally on the Buzzard. I emailed Lauren about it and got no reply. So I just wrote it off as me being naive and worrying over small things.

Fast forward to today. Just doing inventory and what not and my stock class feed has extremely annoying "wobble" /side to side movement. I don't want to crank the screw down or I'll strip the threads like I did on the previous one.

So basically my question is... Did I receive the wrong collar? I'm not too knowledgable with other Carter works, so I have no clue if this collar I have belongs to another marker.

Here are some pics for having to read through all that....

And here are two follow up questions.
If yes that is the wrong collar, how would I fix it on my end?
Or is anyone local to Carter Machine and could ask them about that?

Thank you very much for your time.

I don't think it's the wrong collar, I didn't know There was a redesigned collar. But, yeah with that rounded top there will be a chance of wobble. I guess you could contact Lauren to get a flat top or maybe if you want to spend extra and get a new feed that is milled and matches the collar. If there ia a matching feed it will not wobble as much as the older one cause it will work with the collar.

If you want something to do, maybe drill out the collar and put in a helicoil to replace the stripped threads. Will be stronger after. There's a couple guy on here that visit Earon's shop every so often, hopefully they see this thread and help out or give their opinions.

Well, I should have gone the helicoil route, but what I did... (March of last year) in desperation and not wanting to get a helicoil kit, I put in a carriage bolt, made it flush, and then drilled into that bolt and tapped it for the screw. It works great, just my collar is all effed up and it is slightly off. Being slightly off that paint gets stuck and can jam. So thus, the new collar... :/
