What exactly is "Carter's Commando's" anyway? Is it like a team? Or is it just a group of like-minded old-schoolers?

Can we start local "Chapters"? I know of a couple other pumpers around my area.

Yes, yes, and yes....

It's something that was put together as a team to play under at EMR, and other "chapters" have sprung up.

Trying to put it all together now in a nice post unless Drum or someone else can beat me to it. Still busy at home, but will put something up as soon as I get a chance.

Oh, ok.. I get it. Is there a minimum number of people I should get together before calling it an official "Chapter"?

Since Carter is busy, here is a quick thumbnail description of our team;

Years and years ago, time before memory, there came a thing called the internet. Some odd folk, (with apparently boundless extra time/energy) put up their websites and, some even odder folk, drawn in by their curiosity and surplus cash for guns began to hang out on the website and associate.

After a little time went by, someone (his name is lost to history) remembered that we all like to play paintball, drink, laugh and look at dirty books and suggested that we all turn off our computers and get together for a party and paintball.

Well, it was a big success and the people rejoiced. Thereafter a name (Carter's Commando [no "s"]), a uniform [mismatched Hawaiian shirts], a patch and a very dirty needle united this small band of ne'er do wells into what looked to the outside world very much like a paintball team.

We did nothing to disabuse folks of that impression and the team has flourished, albeit in an odd, grassroots sort of way.

Soon people began to show up at EMR (a place where we odd few had gathered semi-regularly) with a Hawaiian shirt and a thirst. We never turned anyone away and the party just got bigger... and bigger and, finally, "you get what we have here today...

"Failure to communicate." (No wait, that was a different movie...)

Anyway, bring your Hawaiian shirt to the fields and ask for Carter.

Think of it...

If people all across this country, no matter where they live or play, would walk onto their local paintball field wearing a Hawaiian shirt and asking for Carter...

Well, folks might think it's a little odd, but can you imagine if THREE people went to a field wearing a Hawaiian shirt and asking for Carter?

People might think it's a movement.

And then, can you imagine if FIFTY long-haired Hawaiian shirt-wearing FREAKS showed up at every paintball field in America asking for Carter?

People might say it was a REVOLUTION!

A colorful, loud Carter's Commando Revolution!
