Calling all Commando, Calling all Commando!!! (West Coast)

For those of us on the West Coast, have you desired to join our brothers (and sisters) on the East Coast for Castle Conquest at EMR, but have been unable to attend due to family/time/money/distance? Have you wished that we could have something similar on our side of the country? Well, know is our chance:

On April 12th, 2008, Blackcat Paintball Productions is holding "Campus Siege" at Fort Ord near Monterey, California. According to their description:

Well here is your chance to live something similar in CA. On April 12th we will be creating a "mini campus" at the Fort Ord Barracks. We will be building a "fence" around two of the center buildings in the complex.

We will be adding tons of bunkers inside this "courtyard" and around these two buildings. One of the buildings is the one that has the multiple rooms.

This game will be capped at 220 participants. There will be 60 defenders against 140 attackers. There will be multiple flags inside the buildings and in the courtyard. The attackers will have 8 hours to capture all the flags and steal them from the defenders.

There will be timed re-insertions to help balance the flow of the game.

The cost for this event will be as follows:

Entry into the event $45 which includes all day air
Paint will be $60 per 2000 round case

This game will be in your face paintball and is not intended for the weak at heart or for those who are afraid to get shot.

I am issuing a call to arms! I propose that in the tradition (and in honor of) the CC's first gathering as defenders at EMR's Castle Conquest, that we on the West Coast (and anyone else with the desire and ability to travel here for the event) don our Hawaiian shirts, take up our weapon of choice (whether it be archaic or modern, loudened or deadly silent) and see just how many of the 60 available defenders spots we can fill. It will be an honor and a privilege to fight beside you!

Well, that should serious cut into the number of people (from here) that would show up for this event... I had forgotten that POG was the same weekend (I am shamefully not an owner of a Palmers gun... I know, near blashphemy here

Yep... awesome POG Weekend will be a better MCB hookup than a Black Cat Scenario way down in Monterey.
