You use that method (while awesome) and you're still putting pilings/piers/sano tubes in.

I can also ask my grandfather as he moved/raised his garage back in the 80's. We started talking about it last weekend when we were discussing how to "fix" my garage.

Yes but auger not equal dig!

I am not suggesting that supports are unrequited.

Did you take that HUGE tree down yet?
wow

Trees are still there.... but I'm seriously thinking about sliding the garage over a foot to get it away from the tree. I'd need to put in some kind of new foundation wall and sill plate for the north "side" wall and the east "rear" wall.

I'm half tempted to have someone drop the tree on the garage and just rebuild a pole barn style garage on the existing footprint so I don't need a permit. If I move the garage I'm going to have to do so on the sly... or very quietly in the middle of the night.

Wow, am I rubbing off on you? Permit skating, garage sliding, slacker?

Dumping the tree on the garage is slacking... doing the actual work to slide a garage certainly isn't.

I have a feeling that as soon as I was to remove any horizontal support from the base of the garage... that it will fall the hell over

What the bunkhouse needs is an annexation of the bunkhouses next to it.
