I don't get it... If someone bought Drum's debt to schmitti, wouldn't they have paid schmitti and now Drum owes them the money? This seems backwards...

This sounds like Drum gave somebody something and in return asked that they pay schmitti. As a supposed lawyer, Drum should know that his creditor could still come after him for the debt since he is the responsible party. I say take him to Judge Judy.

What you describe Wild is what did occur. However there is no attempt to hide or disavow the debt.
Schmitti is owed the money and I can pretty much say that I -and the others who were witness to this transaction- believe the party involved will settle the debt. However Drum is relieved of his obligation fairly according to the rules of pinkie swears and dog dares.
