CHARGE!!
I believe the general consensus after spring was to attack in the fall. I know it’s my plan. I've only attacked once and defended twice.
Also, as incynr8 said, we can be lazy if we want. While the defense is less physical in some ways, it’s still a pretty physical game. And rest in the defender deadzone isn't exactly restful. Attacking lends itself to a more comfortable deadzone, which is definitely a more conducive environment to socialization...which is at least half the point, eh?

EDIT:

You know, the one time I attacked was the only time I played open play after castle. After my two defenses I had no interest.

seriously...I believe the game is often won by attackers with a logistical sense. unless VERY prepared with hundreds of prepodded paintballs, defending teams after 2+ hours are less able to rapidly redeploy into the castle, providing some attrition of players out of paint, paint money or prepared paint to re-enter the game....It gets rough in the end, where you choose to go out with 2 pods and get out there, rather than spend time loading 4 others...

I'd love to see a whole army of hawaiian shirts attacking. I've only been once as an attacker but I'd do it again. I just won't hump as much gear this time up that hill.

you never have to do the hill, but the options are one of two of the 'long walks'

I prefer to defend, simply because from that perspective there are many more targets to shoot at. When you attack, you're pretty much shooting through windows and doors at shadows (once tippy town is taken and the defense is within the castle walls).

I've only attacked once - it was fun, but just not the same adrenaline-soaked paintball orgy that defending is

dat said, I'm attacking with the CC in the fall

Now the real question is... will my paint from spring castle still be shootable at fall if I keep it in the basement at 50 degrees F and occasionally turn it? I easily have half a case left.
