I too sported the Hawaiian shirt for the first time yesterday. I had a blast running around with just a Splatmaster and a few tubes! In fact, I actually resembled the pic in my sig.

I've been wearing Hawaiian shirts both on and off the field since highschool. My wife hates it. She's always saying "You're thirty years old, why must you draw so much attention to us?" I've always been questioned at the fields for wearing them, but was never aware of the "popularity" of them within the pump world until stumbling upon MCB. I've been showing my wife this thread and she just keeps shaking her head.

Its "Tiki bar cammo". It allows you to hide behind Zombies, Mai Tais, and Singapore Slings without being recognized by suspicious wife type people.

Long before I knew anything about MCB, or others wearing the "touristaflage"....

A scenario team I played with called The Moist Donuts was where I first came across the practice. The team played a good number of big games here in the SE. It was a normal thing to come out Friday night and pretty much party till the start of the game. First day we generally got our asses handed to us. Someone came up with the idea of bringing and using the brightest, tackiest Hawaiian shirts we could find.
What was probably more the result of our passing out early and getting sleep Saturday night became a legend wrapped around the effectiveness of wearing something so bright and gaudy in the woods. We almost without fail ended up turning the game around Sunday for a win. HAD to be the shirts....

I found out when I joined here that there were other crazies doing the same thing.
