Before I air it up should I just put a few drops of oil in the ASA and dry fire a couple times?

Make sure the barrel is off so you don't get oil in the bore when you dry fire it.

Actually I don't think there is much point in this. With the nelson design the only seal the oild would touch is the cup seal and the only friction point would be the inside of the TPC, if any of it actually stays there and isn't blown right out. Oil it every time you put it back together from a good cleaning.

See that's what I was wondering. It's not like a Tippmann where it'll go everywhere inside.

I will just give it a good oil everytime I dissassemble. How often would you recommend a full dissassembly and cleaning?

Depends on how much you use it. I am kinda nuts about my internals and clean and oil after every day of play. Realisticly if it doesn't look dirty, you didn't break any balls in the chamber from pinching them, paint hitting the gun didn't get into the chamber, not very often. I've taken rusty nelsons that layed around for years put a 12ie in them and had them hold air and shoot.

The better you take care of the internals the longer they will last. I would say if you have time it can't hurt to clean it after every day of play. If you don't have the time clean it when it's dirty.
