You know, me writing in SWEnglish and all... Those words that are spelled exactly the same are tricky. A file as in computer-file, or as in document holder or the tool to grind away material and deburr with.

Another update on the USI Raider.
When I put chamfers and rounded them down to a nice radius, the binding tendency stopped. It didn't go away completely, but for a budget marker it is acceptable now.

Since I wrote last the marker has been field tested, before and after the hammer mod was completed.
It is a nice marker after all. It shoots constistent and doesn't vary much in FPS on the chrono.

I have also finished most of the CAD model by now, only a little more to do. Mainly smaller details and fine tuning.
I'll see if I can put up a picture tonight when I get home from work.

I didn't need to add helicoil inserts to the threaded holes for the fram screws in the body, at least not right now.
For some reson the metric M5 screws (dia .1968503937") seems to have cut its own threads rather well in the body.
The frame sits very tight to the body when tthe M5 screws are screwed in tight.

Enjoy. It's still missing a a few holes and threads here and there, but dimension wise it should be accurate to my brothers USI Raider, that he kindly let me abuse with the digital probing arm for paintball science.

By the way, does anyone know why there is a cutout in the pumphandle?
The cutout fits around the witdh of the frame, but the pump arm isn't long enough to attach to the pump handle if it would be on in reverse. So the cutout is still a mystery to me.
Then again, there is the possibility that this pump handle isn't for a USI Raider at all and just happened to be on the USI Raider that I have access to.

I have the same cutouts in my USI Raiders..
What do you want for making a anti-kink mod on mine?

Below is the mysterious cutout in the pump handle of the USI Raider.
What is it for, how did it get there, what does it want?

I wonder if it was placed there for an under-cocking version. Then the same pump could be used on both models.

That would make sense. The width of the cutout fits nicely over the with of the frame.
But then the pumparm would not be optimal legth for the pump handle to not collide with the trigger guard on the end of the pump stroke movement.
I wonder if they shipped the USI Raider with optional length pump arms so you could have a very short pump stroke, with the handle very close to the frame as it wraps around the section just before the trigger guard.

Fan of EMR
I know I know this is an older thread, to bad it's an older gun and relevant.

Just picked up two of these as loaners.

Interestingly enough they have Trracer style valves with the Power tube integrated into the Hammer. Still Breech drop in front like a Phantom though. It gives me some ideas. I'll post back if I ever follow up on them.
