Just needed to say what doesn't need to be said.

So first off a little back story, I have a phantom that's been in my family for a while. It's as old as I am (22 maybe a bit younger). and it has not needed one upgrade, replacement part. It never leaks, never broke the anno hasn't worn out in the breech. It seems like it's some kind of geneticly mutated paintball gun.

Anyways I finally got this gun as my own, but there was one thing I couldn't do. Stock class

I tried but couldn't get it and I didn't want to give up the great feel of this gun.

I gave mike a call and got a new body from him he sent it and I got it the next day. (Nice to know he makes a point to send fast. You dont get that from most paintball business' now a days, no matter how big or small)

I slapt it on the gun and was stoked how good it looked but the only thing was my barrel no longer screwed in.

I called him up and without any problems or questions he explained the situation and what happened and without me asking him to fix MY problem (I didn't have to use the body, I could buy a new barrel) he offered to send me a replacement free of charge.

I had a aftermarket barrel from Dye. Just for kicks I called to see what they would do since I had a barrel that was made for a gun that did not fit the threading.

The woman I spoke with basically told me to sell it on ebay becuase they weren't going to help. I found it humoring that she kind of sounded accusational saying "We only sell AC threaded barrels, you have the wrong company"

Anyways I don't want to get into that because I am in no way expecting Dye to fix my problem, it's not their fault mike changed his threading a bit. My point is mike values me as a customer like no other company I've ever dealt with. For that I'm going to keep this iron-phantom till it dies or I do. Whichever comes first.

Who wants my phantom when I die? =)

It's nice to hear this kind of story again and again when CCI is mentioned.
To be treated as a customer rather than a nuisance is a nice feeling. Glad that it worked out for you.

That's awesome man... I've never met him but from all the stories I've heard, Mike seems like a down-to-earth people-friendly guy who always takes care of his customers... and considering that he's done for the world of stock class play what McDonald's did for the cheeseburger, it's nice to see that he's STILL a people-person who still provides the same kind of awesome service that you get from some of the higher-priced companies, only at a considerably lower priced product (Aaron Carter, CCM, etc... also providing outstanding customer service, just at a slightly higher price range)

Hold on to that baby of yours forever man!

Every time CCI is mentioned it is always the same story. I bought a used Phantom two years ago, the TPC had a chip out of the front of it. No idea how anybody could do that but when I called Mike to get a new one it was sent to me free of charge. No questions asked and no shipping charges. CCI is the only company who truly cares about his customer base.

I've heard there is a next in line to take over for Mike. Saw a pic of the young man once.
CCI is pretty hard to beat.

whatever you do....
when you go meet mike for the first time....

take off all the garage custom stuff
take off the DIY hitman mod

he got the biggest laugh outta my beat to death phantom
he still mentions it when i go see him

now mine are pretty and professional (precision machine shop is better than a dremel in a garage)

mike is an awesome guy

i can rethread that dye barrel for ya too... with acme threads that will work on the new breech, but you'll lose about .5-1" off the barrel

I sent him an email before, asking where I could buy a phantom barrel sock that I had seen someone have somewhere. But I couldn't find it on the phantom website.
I wanted to give one to my brother as a birthday gift. I really wanted and tried to pay for it, but Mike insisted on giving me not only one but two barrel socks for free including shipping to Sweden.
With customer care like he deserve all the extra advertising he can get. I use that barrel sock on my Sterling STP with pride (as far as I know there ar no Sterling barrel socks).
I am thinking of getting a phantom to match the barrel sock though.
