Few questions about phantoms

So I was thinking about converting one of my autocockers to run off 12ies. Turns out in the long run it is going to end up costing me near 200-250$ which is enough to buy a phantom. Why not just ditch the autococker idea and go with a used or new phantom instead?

So I don't really know much about phantoms but I am looking at a used phantom on CL right now. It is a purple bottom line setup. I have a couple questions.

What would be a good price on the purple bottom line phantom? It looks in near mint condition.

Is it possible to convert it to the vertical 12g changer from the bottom? If so,how much would it cost to do this?

Are phantoms closed bolt? What barrel threads do they use if any at all?How do you prevent rollouts?

Link?

They are phantom threaded nelsons, you need to do something like
get a barrel kit (freak, ifit, python, cp, jj) or use detent rings or the asp detent
mod to prevent roll-outs.

I can't link the listing because tis no longer up but here is the pic he text me.

He offered to sell me the phantom, the cocker with out of hydro 68/45 and some profilers for 250$. I really just want the phantom though. If it is going to cost me a whole lot to convert the dang thing to the configuration I want I might as well buy a new phantom.

Also I am not sure if a nelson is closed bolt or not. Excuse my ignorance.

looking at prices listed here Accessories

the vertical air kit is 50 or you could just add a 12 gram bucket changer to your bottom line

phantoms are closed bolt and have there own brand of threading phantom threaded.

To prevent roll outs there are detent rings and my favorite way is freak bored barrels

Is there a reason why you suggest I steer clear of this particular phantom? He just text me back and he said he wants 125$ OBO for just the phantom. If I do decide to get one here on MCB your assistance would be much appreciated.I'll read that wiki article you sent me and do some more thinking then get back to ya.

(EDIT)

I guess if a vertical air kit is 50$ im going to have to pass on the CL deal. /hmmmm

If you want it for 125 go ahead and grab it, it is worth about that..
Unless listed in the ad though, it doesnt seem like it comes with simple
accessories like velocity adjusting rod, etc. The grip is a plastic m16
grip which if you dont like youll have to order a brand new frame. You will need
a barrel kit or detent rings or a modification as I said to prevent rollouts, you
can find a phantom here for like 200-300 with everything you could need.

Yeah if I am going to need all of those accessories I think I'll get one here instead. Since I don't like the color,or the style of the grip and I want a vertical air phantom.

You don't need a whole frame to replace the M16 grip, just the "handle" portion of the frame. It's part 3045 and is $39.

If you watch you can find a VSC Phantom just the way you like here on MCB for $250 or lower.

So basically I am looking for this in a phantom

vertical air
45 grip
undercocking(optional)
anti-rollout barrel
black or silver in color
the ability to switch between open and stock class feed(optional)
T or L stock(optional)

I really really like this one but it is a little out of my price range:
phantom
