What ever you choose to do, I'd definitely focus on functionality over looks, so something like freak boring your barrel will give you better performance, getting a one piece feed may look nice but it doesn't really add any real advantage. So as the old saying goes, function before form.

Thanks for making this thread I have the same issue. But from my research( I make sure my money is spent well) it seems a trifluted hammer is always reccomended as well as freak boring. The thing I don't get is why not get a lapco 681 barrel and sell ur phantom barrel? I'll probably get mine freaked since I use different paints alot. But it seems like it would be a ill cheaper if you just got a new barrel. The other thing is the asp detent body to prevent double feeds. So in conclusion I think you should get a trifluted hammer, freak bore or get a lapco barrel, and asp detents

1 single barrel = 1 bore size

1 freaked barrel = 10 bore sizes? (.687 is stock, .684, .682, .679, 677, .675 + Ty's inserts that go .685, .680, .675, .670, .665? + custom sized if you wanna pay extra)

i use 3 bore sizes .684, .682, .679, and carry a .675 in my gear bag (still brand new lol)

Freak bored barrel is #1. If you didn't have the stock I would say invest in an RTR Boomerang.Aside from the barrel it's the best $25 I've ever spent.

I agree with pretty much everybody here. Stock Barrel bored and a freak kit. In fact I have been looking at buying a SS kit and I'll be more than happy to sell you my Alum kit for $45 + s&H
