| Paintball Fox | If you would want a hpa reg for the phantom/nelson what output(s) would be best?
Currently they Ninja regular pro is: 450, 550, 700, 800 adjustable Would that be good or shoud a different pressure range be done? Currently that reg can only go in those setting. Also if 10 or more can be ordered I can get a txt or logo. They normal reg can go to 500, 650 and 800

That's a pretty good pressure range. If course, I'd love to see the Flatline back, but I guess I'll have to dream. You don't seem to be able to do much better than the adjustable Ninja regs these days. I do miss the Flatline (I never even had a 4.5k) and the ole' Maxflo (not the really old one, but it's slightly more recent incarnation), I don't miss my Armageddon... Oh, and I left out the Centerflag regs, particularly Dynaflow, miss her too ![]() Unfortunately I have three Ninja reg'd tanks atm, so I won't need any for a while. But I was interested in that 22ci (although wasn't that a GA product?)...

I thought stock phantoms worked best at 850ish like UN rugged CO2.

Generally true, but folks have had success down to 450 or so with a bit of modification to powertube/TPC/valve housing. Anyways, an adjustable tank isn't a bad thing, as you can set it in the 800-900 range if you so choose.

Don't go below 500 PSI on a phantom as a golden rule, beyond that is kinda of exploring uncharted territory. It should be fine on stock springs using 600-800 psi range with HPA. Below 600 you need to respring. With HPA your goal is consistency. With 12 grams you want to squeeze as many shots as possible before drop off. Efficiency is stock class is very important. Even with 3.5-4 OZ tank you get 300-400 shots. That's more than all the paint I used to bring. |

Yea, I've found 4oz tanks to be ideal for the phantom. And absolutely, at the very minimum respringing lower than 500psi is ideal (actually, I would respiring any nelson operating under 650psi). But with some relatively simple mods to the valve system (larger porting in powertube's valve head; larger porting/drilled out TPC; drilled out valve housing; etc), a couple folks on here have had good success with 400-450psi. Now if only I could figure it out for my own phantoms Well, then again, I'm happy with my phantoms running @ 850psi and 650psi...BenoitOWN - What size/ci tanks will you have to go with the Ninja regs?

Any size tank that can be had at ninja. Currently thinking that their Pro reg would be perfect for most or 3k/4.5k if you already have your tank.

| Sidewinder Hoarder Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fascist Valley | Please excuse me, but I was out of the pb scene for a while a while back there... so the options are like: 13/14ci, 47-56 (or something), the standard 68, 70, 80, and 90? And 22?
