I have a strong attraction to my Phantom

Yup. I haven't had a Phantom until recently. While I wouldn't say I'm in love with it yet, I would say It'll be a go-to from now on. I have had my fair share of Nelson based markers, but I really think the Phantom is in a class of it's own. I couldn't get my O/C marker to work on Saturday of this weekend's Pump event here on the West coast, so I went to my S/C Phantom, so as not miss the games and I found out a little something. I really like my S/C Phantom! It will shoot almost 40 good clean shots from a 12ie. and that, to me was amazing. Second, The balls went where I wanted. In the whole day I think I only shot about 70 balls out of the thing, but I held my own agenst the auto triggering mad men and was impressed and happy with the new S/C edition to my collection. I do wish they were Cocker threaded, so the barrel size issue wouldn't be an issue, but I threw a little nail polish in the breach and no roll outs! I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but people should know how good these markers are right out of the box...

No, no woosh. that one was nice though. Mine is green acid wash. I should have introduced myself, I was the guy with the scratch built KP style open class. I'm pretty sure you had a nasty and a DSG right?

Phantom barrel threads are great. They mean (with a few exceptions) that anything that fits your gun also fits your pump handle.

Get a Lapco 1pc in the smallest size they make it...and call it a day. Keep stock barrel with detent rings for bigger paint days..and keep some nail polish or a piece of yarn for extra small paint days.

almost all of my cocker barrels would look kinda bulky and stupid on my phantom.

Phantoms do rock..and they make awesome open class guns too. They are just a nicely refined gun. The stainless thread inserts lock then firmly in my heart. Just an extra touch of awesome.

Just get the stock barrel freaked. I invested in a stab for mine and I love it. At the Chrono I shot 4 275 in a row, it made my day. .

Yup, played with it again a week ago and it's found a place in my heart for good. Short of a few double feeds, it was perfect all day. The sick part is now I keep thinking about how I want to build up another with some diferent details. The other thing, I went to look at my Micro Mag and Timmy to use at the Big Game this weekend and they just felt so heavy and cumbersome, I thought, what am I even doing with these markers?
Cunha, I forgot to mention my Phantom came to me with an under cocking kit, that fits my style of pointer finger over the end of the handle juuuuust riiiiiight.
