cci regulator

Would there be any advantage in investing in a Phantom revolution regulator. If so why.

Pics would be helpful.

Can't really help you without a lot more info...

What gun will you be using it on - Phantom or the Revolution? What are you trying to achieve - efficiency, stability, etc? Are you running 12 grams, HPA, CA? Stock-class or open-class? The more you can tell us about exactly what you are doing (or looking to achieve), the better we'll be able to provide answers for you.

The topic of the Revolution regulator on a Phantom has been covered before HERE. Do a search as there are other threads on the reg itself.

I have a Phantom, I run it both open class and stockclass. I also use HPA, 12ies and CA depending on my mood. Lol.

As for what im after . . . I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking. I guess I would like to know is there any benefit to buying CCI regulator. I'm not interested in the Palmers, just the CCI regulator.

If you don't know why you'd want it on there, I can't imagine it'll do much for you.

The reg's mostly useful if you're going for stability to try and get exactly identical shots out, or to even out the pressures on Co2 in places where the weather changes a lot, IMHO.

That said, I've seen it on a VSC setup, and it's pretty nice, although it makes the tank sit very low with a Ninja HPA. I'd probably go with a Palmer myself and mount it parallel to the valve.

I dot know if my input will help, but I can get a decent 27 or so rounds off a 12ie in my phantom. While I'm happy with the number, the velocity seems a bit jumpy under normal conditions (75-80 degree or so weather). I go back and forth between hpa and the 12ies. Co2 let's me play light, having my tank means there's that much more weight in my hands.

If you're facing something similar to this then maybe a reg will work, like whiteout said, you can probably get identical shots in your velocity range if you desire to be that picky with your setup. Reason being, you'll know exactly how each ball will exit the barrel.

Any stabilizer from Palmer would work, but he said that he doesn't want to run Palmer on his Phantom. Personally the sideline reg is to heavy for me and makes the Phantom unbalanced. The male (with braided line not hardline) or Phantom specific stab would be better imo if you decide to go with Palmers. As you will get a higher airflow and would let you tune your Phantom better.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I still haven't decided, figured if I don't have a reasoning to buy on then there is no rush.

Like Happy Chewy said, I feel the palmers sidelined would feel off balanced.

Thanks,

Nate.
