With a 6 inch phantom barrel bored for inserts, you virtually have a full length of the same size bore. After being bored there is roughly 3/4inch of barrel left after the end of the insert.

I was definitely not aware of that! Pretty cool though, always good to have options. I am however a big fan of Freak inserts, mine see a lot of use.
