Can anyone just measure the damn thing (10 round feed tube), and confirm for me, within a 1/16th of an inch, what the length is? I know we did math kung-fu but I want a hard number to confirm what I'm seeing....carbon fiber tubing is not exactly cheap material to make errors with.

the tube is 4 7/8" long overall. threading starts at 4 1/4". this is just the metal piece, both plastic pieces removed.

In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.

Good catch. I didn't realize that CCI 10-round tubes are shorter than regular 10-round tubes. Another reason to get a Phantom one of these days.

just to clarify, the "missing" length is built into the feed tube block...that sucker is about 3-3.5 inches in length, allowing likely 3-4 balls in, meaning the remainder of the tube only has to hold about 6-7 paintballs...thus the smaller length. and none of us counted that in the maths....yay us!

mystery solved...haha

unrelated, I guess now we know how many forum users it takes to measure a feed tube...(sounds like the start of a crappy joke)

The jokes come after a picture of the finished product

prototypes

alright gang, here is the prototype run of my feed tubes, and a couple ghost rings. I do think there is some room for improvement still, so I will probably be buying another carbon fiber tube and running another set of theses in the semi-near future.

Anyway, enjoy some carbon fiber porn:

and for the record, jiujitsu I tried to make you a 15 rounder prototype because I had enough material, but my dumb-arse was not careful and I sanded right through the length of tubing that fits into the feed block...and it was ruined because when I cut it off, it was too short for 15 rounds...so I salvaged by making another 10 rounder....I'll prototype one in the next batch if you are still interested.

I'll be very interested in some of these if you ever get to the point where you'll be selling something like this in either 10, 12 or 15 round variations (12 rounds being the one I'd really be interested in). Looks very cool though
