Air tool oil is great too. Gold cup costs more, but I think I am on the same bottle from about 4 years ago, so it isn't exactly some huge capital outlay for most people.

Be careful with gun oils. There are probably a ton that would work, but I know some contain solvents that are not designed for o-rings and seals.

Exactly this. I've had first-hand experience with gun lubricants that turned an o-ring into a sizzling puddle of goo. Go with a lubricant that's designed for a paintball gun, or you run the risk of a mess like that. I've never used air tool oil, but it sounds like it should work. Basically, I trust Walz.

I use the expensive stuff from PPS. Since you only use a drop at a time, no matter what you use, it will last for years.

I've also been using the same bottle of gold cup for about 4 years myself. I put a single drop in the ASA and smear a drop on the internals once a month after pump day. Air tool oil works just as well so there's no reason to spend money if you don't have to.

Outlast (formerly KC Trouble free) is the best oil for paintball. It doesn't oxidize like gold cup does and it won't leave orings gooey if it sits for years. Doc Nickels swears by the stuff and I have been using it for a while with good results too.
