Excited to see what custom 3d printed parts would come of this.

also i would be interested in purchasing one if anything just for the novelty of owning a completely 3d printed CCI phantom lol, so pending the price id be interested.

Sorry to be the one to raise the question but ethically.... This is a Phantom not a Nelson clone. It's a real phantom and super cool. But receivers or even bodies might be proprietary intellectual property. Making them for sale may need a call to Mike.

It's not a true clone I made modifications that can only be done on a 3D printer I'm not saying you don't raise a good point and that's why I'm only selling the ones I made for my experiment and not doing this on a continual basis there will only be 6 of these ever! I do use internals and a 12g adapter and all the other little pieces are all bought from Mike in the future I'm going to sell paintball markers like this but of my own design still using the same Nelson bolt. On top of that I plan on getting Mikes blessing before I sell any because I have lots of respect for him.

This is the right thing to do. After all, we're talking about one man's livelihood here, and profiting off of 30 years of his testing, research and hard work (no matter how much or how little) would be beyond criminal. I can't speak for him, but Mike doesn't seem like the type of guy who is going to have his lawyers start firing off cease and desist letters to people who want to get creative with Phantom mods. Replicating his parts and selling them is another story. He's a great guy and I'm sure he'll be happy to talk with you about whatever you're planning.

Your stuff looks great BTW.

It has nothing to do with a lawsuit I live very close to him and I know him and I wouldn't try and undercut him however legal or illegal it was but I appreciate everybody looking out for him he's a great guy. I'm just waiting to get a reply back from my email to know if I have his permission before I put anything on the buy sell thread. Hopefully I'll have a response back by early next week.
