3D printed phantom!

This was made by my brother. It's fully functional and shoots straight at 290 fps. Played a couple hours at Supergame 50 with it. Weights so little it actually has recoil when fired. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzC...w?usp=drivesdk

dang... my s/c phantom was getting so heavy to tote around... and now we have this !!!

this is a great looking accomplishment, but I am not sure what it accomplishes. It is lighter than an aluminum phantom, but beyond that.... does it advance the phantom platform in any way? it is not more durable/reliable/accurate than a standard phantom? I look forward to your future work when you print parts for a phantom that are new and unique. This is certainly a stepping stone in the advancement of the phantom and all paintball guns. Pretty soon we'll just be printing all of our paintball guns out of printers.

That's really cool! What does it weigh? Do you think the pump arm will hold up to the pump rod? How is it handling without the overpump stopper thing?

Agreed. In addition to making something as cool as a Phantom, it really showcases your "mad skillz" with a 3D printer.

Now, how much would it cost to make one for me?

It was done mostly just to show that it could be done. I'm not sure on the exact weight but the internals and the dropout make up most of the weight. The pump rod, all the pins, the springs, internals and dropout are all cci so wear/strength is nothing to worry about.

It sounds just like the real thing. Ps I am the brother that made the phantom in the pics above. I will weigh it when I get some time and post it on here for those who are curious. (Update) with no paint and no 12 G CO2 but fully assembled it weighs in at a staggering 1-pound 1.9 Oz
