Phantom Won't Cock

I pump it, pull the trigger, and nothing. I have never fired a nelson before, but it feels like the sear is not catching or something of that nature. I took it apart and put it back together, hoping something might have been out of place but that didn't work. I tried it with air too, and it won't cock.

Thanks guys.

Spring might be too hard/light. Also, make sure the screws are on tight (body/frame)

Not to be a jerk but just for the record it did or did not work before you took it apart? First time I took mine apart I didn't get everythign back where it belonged and the gun wouldn't cock this is why I ask

I understand, it wouldn't cock, so I took it apart.

It is a VSC with a hard line if that helps.

While it was apart did you check to make sure that everything looked to be in good working order. Sear is moving, bolt is in good shape?

And it doesn't cock when it's pressurized?

check bolt ledge for wear
sear for wear
sear spring present?
sear moves in slot without sticking?
proper valve tube
bolt is unobstructed/binding (pumps all the way)
marker is assembled firmly that ASA is fully seated in body?

air is getting INTO valve (unobstructed air passages, pin valve opens tank, etc)

not much else to a nelson

As said before, did you have the gun pressurized?

I bought it from a member here, it worked for him. I received it today, aired it up and it wouldn't fire. I used a 12g in the bucket changer. What am i doing wrong?

did the 12 gram pierce, was the pressure getting to the gun (pinch in hardline).... if you quickly pull back the pump can you get a burst of air from the valve?
