Question Regarding PPS Phantom Stab Kit

Is the site rail mounting hole still present?
Anybody have a pic with a rail on?

Thanks,

Jeffrey

It's kinda weird.

I have a 2.5 inch rail on it. There is only one screw hole. So you can either mount it with the longer end with no screw forwards or backwards. I'll try and get a picture later tonight. A little less secure. I wouldn't throw anything more then a red dot or a ghost ring on it.

The stabilizer kicks ass though. 420 psi operating pressure goodness. And it shoots 290 with a 18inch barrel and hard spring. Imagine if I did something less ridiculous =O

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I'll have to pick one up.
A pic would be great too if it's not too much trouble.

Thanks!

Jeffrey

What's the 12g effiecency compared to unregulated?

Ahh I'm so sorry, someone shoulda reminded me for pics, I got caught up with life. I remembered this thread since I'm pouring out paintball stuff all over my room.

Not sure on the 12 gram efficiency, I'll take a look into it this weekend. I know that since having a reg increases the volume, it takes a few shots off. That's why a lot of people don't have regs on their guns. But having the built in stab allows you to run it at around 400psi, so im thinking, yes I lose a few shots from the reg, however, I also gain it back by running it low pressure (I can't wait to shoot it with my 11 inch, it's already beaver fart quiet). I think the effciency won't be that different. It's no dropout, but no worse then a VSC (mine would be a little worse, since I'm running a macroline instead of hardline).

Pics when my camera charges. =)

I know that since there's more volume

Pressure and volume are inversely related.

You use more volume of gas at a lower PSI to propel the ball at the same final FPS.

Also, I'm not sure if running a reg will cost you any shots. My '99 Sniper would get 25-30 shots on a 12gram with a stock WGP reg. I had the changer screwed into my bottomline and was using tired stock springs. Screwed directly into the vertical ASA, I got maybe 15.
