Agreed on all counts. I had my first Phantom for almost 10 years and never replaced the cup seal. I flipped it over once (I was running it on liquid CO2 and some gunk got sucked in & nicked it), but otherwise never had an issue with it. I did loc-tite the cup seal onto the powertube, though, as suggested, because it had worked itself loose once. Once.
