That seal and the o-ring should last a lot more than 2 years, unless you're an auto triggering mad man out on the field!

Agreed on all counts. I had my first Phantom for almost 10 years and never replaced the cup seal. I flipped it over once (I was running it on liquid CO2 and some gunk got sucked in & nicked it), but otherwise never had an issue with it. I did loc-tite the cup seal onto the powertube, though, as suggested, because it had worked itself loose once. Once.

I used it last sunday, and it worked great. Again, I didn't use more than 100 rounds or so, and it doesn't happen too often. Hopefully though, the problem may have taken care or itself.

I had a similar problem when the TPC was unscrewed a little too far. You might need to swap springs to achieve the correct velocity though.
