I didn't really care about the colors until I got a colorful one. The CCI acid wash is truly something to see in person, after that the pics of it look SUPER dull.

I'm going to quote Eli after I brought my new phantom to the field... "I don't normally like pretty phantoms, but that is a pretty phantom"

Now, I don't think I could buy another phantom without the acid wash, it's truly a killer deal.

I have a Slate colored phantom right now. But to be honest the acid washes are beginning to catch my eye as well!

i have a slate/jet black phantom . i just got .45 girps and i fell in love with this thing more . im now looking for a center feed breach and vsc set up .
last time i used it at my field . it was me and 1 other kitd with a tippy vs a team of 3 . one with a Upgraded ion . and angel , and i think a dm or a pm . and i took out the ion guy and the angel . my buddy took out the pm or dm guy . but as soo as this game startedi let off like 20 shots down range with the auto trigger . and thats when i got one guy and then i ran up and buncker the angel . it feals so good when they curse at you and say your good with that ,,,, what is it? . a pump ? they get angery and you love it . phantoms are the best guns . i havent used any of my other 6 guns in a while . i love my phantom .

As for the colour, I went with the black all over. I am not into flashy stuff, while I am not saying it doesn't look good, it is just not me. I just got a python barrel kit for mine and can't wait to try it out. Should improve the overall accuracy and efficiency, and of course colour is black.

The slate is nice... but I'm itching to get an acid green or acid purple.

One thing I don't udnerstand, though, is why the M-16 grip is even an option. The .45 frame is SO much nicer, and the 86*, even better! I know no one who likes the M-16, actually...

And as far as value, a VSC is 280 new, and really, it's not like any wear and tear occurs. By the time most people sell, it's merely been broken in!

^^^ Well, some people love the m16 grip. Plus it gives you a cheaper option f you're starting out.

Yeah, there are lots of people who love the m16 grip. Just seems to fit some better...me? I'll stick with my 45 =).

And as for the delays...there's a lesson to this: Order from Mike. Mike built mine from the ground up when I ordered. He was talking about how he didn't have what he needed so he'd have to start from scratch....here I was like "damnit...it's gonna take him a month to get me my new marker...." He told me it'd be two weeks until it was on my doorstep. It took 13 days =). Green/black dust finish, SC and VSC valve kits, the works. You can't go wrong, ordering from Mr. Casady.

The field i play at is mostly ruled by egos and tippys. Seldom do i see another pump there, and when i do 50% its a Phantom. Once in a while there will be a sniper or sheridan but mainly phantoms.
The funny thing is that i see more ppl playing with a pistol than a pump.

My phantom has been my main gun since i first bought it 3years ago. Ive had the chance to play with about any kind of marker out there, non off which i like better then my simple Phantom.

For some reason playing with a pump or pistols makes the game alot more fun, even when everyone else is playing with semis.

You probably don't know a lot of mil-simmers, or even gun lovers then. Keep in mind, a lot of people like phantoms stocked because they're so light they need the stability, and the m-16 grip was designed for stocked guns whereas the .45 grip was designed for pistols...

And I don't like 86 frames, wayyy too thin

I had mine out at my local field this weekend and had a blast. The rentals around here are all 98 c's. I was the only guy out with a pump. Pretty good day, and most of the newer guys genuinely seemed interested in my gun. Tried out a barrel kit with mine over the weekend and I thought it had decent accuracy before but now it is even better. I love my Phantom.
