| The love of Phantoms Well guys, Today I was at my home field in San Antonio. As usual, I was one of only two pump players there. Everyone else had tippys at the very least. A few evos and a shocker were present as well. The first game of 7 on 7 I walked away with 2 kills with the almighty phantom. I love her so much. From then on the refs were noting the accuracy and precision of the phantom and a few wanted to buy one. Despite all of the questions about "where is the tank" and "where do the paintballs go" I have a blast and I acutally enjoy educating people about a different type of paintball besides 17 bps and ramping and guns more advanced than some motor vehicles. I love my phantom for all of these things plus the fact I can get through a whole day on just 300-350 paintballs. Oh I love her so much!! |

| I love mine too. And the thing I love about both my mags and phantoms is the amount of quality for the price. Deliciously consistent markers made from high grade materials, and in the phantoms case with wild anno's for only $30 more, and both of them cost under 3 bills. Phantoms do indeed deserve the love I have for them

| I used my new PPS Pug too throughout the day, but it wasn't quite the same. The phantom is still my favorite. The pug is a great backup however.

| Next weekend I get to take out my phantom for some fun. Problem is I just got a new siphon tank for my 68 special. Oh decisions, decisions, guess I'll take them both and play a little with both. Also have a python barrel set coming for the phantom this week. Hope to have that for the weekend. |

| Another great source for new ones is ebay. I got my slate VSC phantom from there! You can phantoms on there quite easily.

| I continue to be shocked at the prices of used phantoms. From the prices people set, you'd think they were selling products that were new (and maybe handled by a celebrity or something). Haven't seen a phantom of any kind for under $200 in any of my searching. |

| Phantoms maintain their value for long periods of time. Plus let's be realistic, they're a rare breed compared to what most people carry. I know we can see them on here every night, but how often do we see phantoms at the field or in the pro shops. (this goes for most pumps unfortunately) The last two visits at my field there have been a total of 6 pumps and three of them were mine! Combine all of these factors and the fact that people don't want to wait for their phantoms coming new from CCI and the value will stay high.

| Yes, somewhat uncommon at the fields, but not unattainable. The point about delays from CCI is a good one - I've been out of the loop quite a while and forgot about that. However, I'm still surprised when sellers try to impose the cost of their hideous color choice on the buyers. Or sell black VSCs with .45 grips for $250. I guess I'll just sit tight and wait until the right deal falls into my lap. Or get a paycheck and order exactly what I want. I think my tastes may just not be as fancy as the average phantom package seller. I don't care about the undercocking, the colors, the ghost rings, etc. |
