| Rec Poster Join Date: Mar 2008 | how should a phantom behave w/o gas hey guys, just received my first phantom and I'm pretty psyched about it. Haven't had a chance to get out with it yet but I had a quick question. So I'm used to snipers and am curious how a phantom should feel when I try to pump it w/o gas? Right now it just pumps back and then forward again with no sniper-type sear catching the hammer feel and the trigger pretty much does't do aything when pulled. So is this typical for a phantom? Thanks for the help and sorry about the newby question. I'll probably grab some 12g's this weekend and try it out with gas but was just curious what I should expect. |

| Thick | It needs the pressure of the co2 to hold the valve closed so the hammer can grab the carrier. Otherwise the mainspring pushes the hammer which pushes the valve stem open.
