No problem, I have 2 adjustable L-stocks and love them, my T-stock is getting converted once I sell some gear.

Sure! You may not even like stocks, so it might be worth your while to try it without. It honestly does not matter much, stocks are fairly easy to sell off in either case if you don't want it anymore.

I always felt like I had to tuck my head down too much to aim with an L stock. I ended up turning the 'L' upside down. I used a T stock now, though.

God this has been posted so many times it may as well be permanent. L for me T stock i find very uncomfortable.
