With that picture it's hard to tell But I think you are right. It looks like a 2 part changer. Having never had a Phantom I don't know How Mike makes them. It is possible that the changer is not removable, I don't know and would have expected someone else (read: more knowledgeable) to jump in by now. Of course I always just worry over things until I can figure out how to take them apart whenever I get something new.
I would be careful trying to unscrew it. I would wrap the changer with a leather glove or something before grabbing with pliers. Then if it doesn't move fairly easily do some more checking. CCM may have diagrams on their web site.

I figured out how to do it.

I don't have a big enough allen key, off to the hardware store.

It's a 3/8 in hex key that you need to remove the asa adapter. Or you can, though I DO NOT recommend it, use the burst disk from a CO2 tank. You can mount a 13ci directly into the asa, just be careful. The tank can stick down and will be more suseptible (sorry for the spelling) to damage from bumping. After you try it in the asa, you may consider something like this:

That's a 13ci tank mounted on a CCI drop forward. I ran it that way playing a recent scenario and add no problems at all.

I think I'll just get a gas thru grip and run it like that.
