I've had this phantom for a few years and ever since I got it it's only caused me problems. Totally the worst gun ever.
Here's a short list of the crap it has caused me:
-My CCM Series 5 just sits in the corner and collects dust
-The local tourney guys now have to gang up on me after I one-ball gog them
-Whenever I miss I can't blame it on the gun
-I no longer need my full freak kit or any kind of ball sizing gear due to the mega-crappy stock barrel and detent rings shooting so well
-Now I have all kinds of boring free time after playing 'cause the gun is so easy to clean
-The rest of my arsenal gets sidelined because this freakin' gun never breaks down
-I now have WAY too much money from not throwing more than a pod worth of paint a day
To top all that stuff off, whenever I do have a problem (the hardline had a small leak a few years ago) the stupid guy who made this crapola gun sends replacement parts for free within days of calling. How dare he be so helpful! I want to talk to a faceless person half a world away and be shuffled between departments for MY customer service!!!
In all seriousness though, phantoms kick ballz. Since all the flashy CCM guns started hitting the scene and with Carter and PPS cranking out some beauties I don't think the old Phantom has been getting it's share of love. These workhorses are the backbone of modern pumpgunnery. Maybe not as silky smooth as CCM's and not as ever-evolving as them either but who needs evolution when the gun's already perfect? Pump, aim, fire, eliminate.
Three cheers for the Phantom!
