If you're looking to up efficiency you can also put something like piano wire in the length of you hardline to reduce the line volume. I've heard that this helps a little bit...

Well, I ordered a blue mainspring already and I've been reading that the piano wire doesn't really help thatmuch.

Also, I don't really wanna cut up my valve and I don't think its worth paying ~30-40 bucks for one.

Ah well.. Sort of off topic, but can you remove the return spring to make the pump stroke easier?

Polishing the internals also does make pumping a lot smoother and the blue spring will help a lot with smoothness . Like on my phantom I have the rainman kit so I use the ccm return spring because it fits in the pump handle , so it even looks clean but I'm not sure if it'll work on the regular pump setup, but worth a try .

i highly doubt a blue spring is going to do anything for your efficency. When u put it in your going to have to screw the TPC in farther, and the hammer will end up hitting the valve with the same force. I dont see the logic behind this

A heavier valve spring will likely increase the efficiency though

Polish the valve tube, especially the part that runs through the valve cap.

Well, I just got my Phantom and I am in love with it!

The pump stroke definitely isn't as bad as people make it out to be. When I'm polishing the parts, am I doing a high or low RPM?
