Questions for Rainman Undercocking Kit Owners

I just got a phantom in a trade and I'm having problems.

I can't get the front frame screw to catch the threads with the undercocking kit. I've been at it all day, there is no way it's supposed to be this hard? I am fully convinced that this screw isn't the right one. It seems to be the right threads, but the screw is much too short. It fails epically to reach the threads when I compare the thickness of the frame and kit to the screw itself. The screw is much less than 1 mm longer than the combined thickness of the frame and undercocking kit.

Can anyone tell me how long their screw is for their rainman undercocking kit, not counting the head of the screw?

Thanks.

After further inspection it seems like the screw is threading in at a slight angle, which is why I can't get it in when the kit guide is on. Suggestions?

Sell your kit. That is what I did because of all the finicky issues I had with it. I went through 4 screws and my gun falling apart in the middle of a game before I had enough.

Short of doing that, maybe get a slightly longer screw than issued and use a washer?

I went ahead and bought a pack of 1" long 8-32 screws. The kit is held together fine now, I just need to cut the screw (I need some nuts to repair the threads after making the cut)

Something was wrong with the screw itself. These screws thread all the way into the breach (they'll touch the top of the breach if I just thread them into the body.) The screw I got int the trade would only go a couple of turns into the hole (I assumed this was normal)
