Undercocking feel with out the U/C kit?

I have been tossing the idea around for a while. What if someone designed a standard pump for a phantom, that just happened to hang down 2 inches below the barrel, like an u/c does, but still goes around the barrel like a stock pump. In theory, you could have the feel of an u/c kit, but not have to upgrade to a full u/c kit. Kinda like a poor-mans u/c kit if you will. Has anyone ever though of or tried something like this?

Maybe something like the Punisher "Overcocker" pump handle? ASPs site is down at the moment, so I can't get a picture. It is basically an around the barrel handle with more material underneath.

Perhaps, I am new to pumps, so I am not familiar with that one, but it could be. I am contemplating making one out of wood, unless I can find a good block of some kinda plastic to mill one from.

Biggest reason for a UC kit is so you can site down the barrel. Of course, there are other ways of achieving that though. I for one, like your idea.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.

I have modified the stock pump handle for over the barrel sighting. Very neatly done. Kinda like the idea of the freak pump handles. I'll take a picture this afternoon.
