No the top is not removable. And no it is not chopped or a re-cut body. The top tube of the body was totally redesigned so it didn't have the home made look. I have seen some real nice chopped S-6 but not much could be done since the body was already cut.
It is really a gun unto itself and is uniquely different to the Series6.
We think it really fills a void for us.
