In fairness, shouldn't you have the cocking rod inserted into the one on the left and the whatever-rod in the one on the right? It's not like the hammer is the entirety of the travelling mass. I'd be curious to see both side by side on a scale...original hammer plus standard rod, new heavier hammer with lighter rod. For all we know, it could be about the same! |

If you think about it, the cocking rod on the ICS no longer moves with the hammer, so its not factored into the weight. Yes the hammer has a small amount of extra metal but its probibly about the same weight as the original with the CR.
