Initial review of S6.5

As soon as i saw the pictars of the 6.5 Mel posted for the LL3 event, I was pinching pennies. The week CCM got back from Chi-town, I was on the phone with them placing my order. I got my gloss black CCM S6.5 in today.

The pump stroke is smooth as the T2, but I prefer a meatier pump handle (I'll get into that mistake later). The design is very much like the awesomeness of the S6. And I like the spyder style feedneck, same with my SS-25. Looks like CCM took all the goodness of their collection and made this baby.

As you can see, the A/T cam isnt like the others, there is no screw holding it on the rod. The cam's retention pin is in the grip frame, be careful if you take it apart, its small, but doesnt shoot out like the ball and spring.

Took this baby outside, unfortunately, I shot into the night, but it felt gooooood. I'll put up more when I get a chance to scalp heads with her.

Nice to see more pics of this up. I am curious to see your impressions of it when you get more rounds thru it. I am anxious to get mine too, and am looking forward to writing up a review thread. Enjoy it! Beautifull gun.

Nice review. They only get better from now on. I put 2 cases through mine and it was awesome.

There are two things I love about the first picture

1) The space is still cutout for the full size S6

2) There are sizers everywhere! It's like a sizer party!

You can't forget Super Dave or Kent (Dark Armor) of T.G either.

Heh. 20 minutes after I opened the box, I went to put my standard pump handle on the brand new 6.5 and I broke the a/t pin off the rod. Had to order a new one and be told I was like a kid and shouldn't take apart my new toy (love you Mel). Lol. Lesson learned. The a/t pin is a bad fulcrum point and red locktight is easily loosened with a hairdrier.

I can't leave well enough alone either. I know that by the time I'm ready to order directly from CCM it will have to very very specific so that I don't get the urge.
