This is what I found from getting a used S6.

Rip the reg apart, check the thing shaped like a tophat, if the tip top part of the tophat looks chewed up like it got stabbed a lot with needle, get a rebuild kit for the reg. I had velocity issues just like yours and after a rebuild, It's back to normal. Didn't touch the internals on the gun itself.

The reg screw should be flush @ 300 PSI and you should be able to go from 200 - 300 using the IVG only.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's pretty much new...

Honestly - look above - clean and tech the marker completely. Read the manual and I would wager your marker will be singing. If not, call Rod - it may be a spring - but I doubt it. Almost ALL of this can be fixed by cleaning and teching.

I'm going to try and make time to get it done tonight. Hopefully my kids go to bed at a decent time.

Yeah, I'd kind of like to hold off on the drugs unless they're actually sick haha.

Well I just had a quick moment to take a look at this again. I picked out a handful of paintballs and sized them to my .678 barrel. FPS was still all over the map. That's all the time I had for tonight so at least paint to bore match is fine. On to step two tomorrow.

I'm borrowing this thread since it felt kinda dumb to start a new thread and my "problems" pretty much include some velocity issues.

Last time i played with my S6, which was also the first time i really played with it for a whole day, i had problems getting the marker to shoot over 260-270 by adjusting the IVG. Did not really care that much since it's enough for most fields but i just wanted to check something.

Is this reg screw flush? It was really hard to get a good picture so i hope you can see.

I dont want to fiddle with my marker too much, and since i'm not as equipped as many others with a reg tester i just wanted to show it. I read in some manual or thread that 300psi on the reg is approx 2 turns in from flush.

1) Watch the videos that TF made that are stickied in CCM (this has been said before). They are very informative and give you some needed knowledge on how your marker works.
2) Every time I have seen problems with velocity, I will check the reg first with a reg tester (again, TF has a thread on how to build this) to see if there are problems the recharge or spiking. If the reg is good, then I check my bottom tube and make sure that there is no grease/oil/anything in the bottom tube. Because of the tight tolerances in the bottom tube anything in it will mess with the force that your hammer opens the valve with.
3)If all else fails, talk to CCM. They are great to talk to about stuff like this and always willing to make sure that their products are working at 100%

I finally got some more time to take a look at this today. I took the CCM reg off and put my CP on that I know is working right and sure enough I was getting a decently consistent velocity. So it looks like the culprit is the CCM Reg. I'm going to take that apart and see what's up.

So I disassembled the Reg cleaned and lubed it and my marker is now shooting beautifully! I'm guessing that this marker just sat on the shelf for a very long time and needed to be freshened up. Thanks guys for all the help!
