i was trying to stay out of it, but i wasnt liking the direction the conversation was headed, so i had to butt in..

my point was and still remains, its a waste of time, youll get maybe 2 or 3 shots at velocity, after that you wont have enough air to get anything workable, i was at no point advocating that you should fill your co2 tank with air, or that ANYONE should go buy the fittings to make it happen, i was just explaining the process of how one could do it, and hoping people realize how pointless it would be

and how exactly would one try and fill a co2 tank off a standard 3k fill station? co2 tanks dont have quick disconnect fill valves. you would, yet again need some kind of an asa and a QD

the only solution is a HPA tank. period

The reason the co2 wont work well is as posted above, The ccm valve. Gas is Gas, but cold gas is cold gas and those sissy pansy O rings will shrivel up to uselessness when really cold.

A good co2 setup for any CCM gun will be a PPS stabilizer (OR TWO) and a superior valve. PPS valves are great and pretty cheap.

Why do you ask would someone do something as crazy as two regulators?

Because by default CO2 only has a pin valve instead of a regulator. It outputs the full tank pressure into whatever regulator at all time. Co2 is sort of self regulating. Depending on the temperature it will turn to a liquid at around 800 PSI.

With HPA you have a regulator built in to the tank. That is basically what you are adding to Co2 with a female stabilizer. It means you can expect the same performance or better out of Co2. As it gets cold you will get less shots per tank.

And yes. As tracker is saying.. A 12 oz co2 bottle will get you VERY limited shots. First shot will be 850 PSI..second shot will be 800..third will be 750.

It is exactly like using a Co2 tank that is out of co2. All of the liquid co2 will have expanded to gas at one point leaving the tank at 850 PSI, Each shot would reduce that pressure until there is nothing left.

Like tracker said..if you had 10 cubic feet of compressed air at 850 PSI it would get you a fair number of shots..but 12 oz equates to about 20 cubic inches...nothing!

You say you get around 260 shots out of 22cubic inches at 3000PSI. Do the math, 20 inches at 850 psi is nothing.

Do NOT put HPA in a co2 tank! I hope that was a joke. You may as well put a loaded shotgun barrel against yoour chest and run around the field, that's a horrible idea. Barrow the 13ci offered, fall in love w/ the t2 w/ 13ci and then pick one up cause it is what belongs on the gun. T2+13ci+Winchester=amazing OC setup.

Haha thanks guys. Yes, I'm borrowing fluff's 13ci tank for the tourney. It's amazing how I asked a question if co2 would damage my t2 (since it's a high end pump), and it turned out to be a bit of a argument. I love mcb.
