I have been reading conflicting information regarding the CCM on/off. Does it vent the downstream gas when you turn it off? I have read that some vented upwards through the rail?
If so, does the newer piston on/off vent?
Last, if I buy an on/off from the CCM site, will it be the new piston style?

So the new style on/off does not vent in the sense like the old style did. There is a bleed hole on the top portion of the ASA body that will vent should you try to remove the tank while fully gased up. The best way to clear your air supply is to turn off the air, pump and shoot your gun a couple of times, making sure if your not on the field (or in a protected area) that you have no paint in your gun. This will clear or remove all air that is chambered in the marker.
I will be more than happy to answer any CCM related questions, just give me a call!
