Salvaging a s5 body, anyone have 6.5 dimensions?
So I am trying to salvage my S5 body, well technically speaking its a "non" ccm s5 with a regular cocker detent to be specific.... but anyways i got it from someone who got it from someone who was going to do "Custom Milling". :bang:
(Fortunately its not too deep!!! But Fugly none the less.)
THE PLAN is to chop it up... I know its a sin but i think it'll be just the ticket. I already have the 6.5 bolt, pin, and back-block. I just need to know what the dimensions i need to have it milled to use the 6.5 parts. Are they different from regular Half-block dimensions?
I really appreciate any help in this process and assure those of you who are still cringing that it'll be fully ccm'd. Nothing but the best for this!
top tube length is "3.500 what other measurements do you need?
the way its rounded on the top is probably already what the 6.5 is
As long as the slot is the same, which I"m assuming it is that should so her... Thanks!!!
And yea its an exact match! It made my day I tell ya what! How often does that happen with projects?
Original JCM Guide Print...
Wait, did someone take a DREMEL to a S5. Velcor smite them, may all their paint be dimpled and oblong.
I'm pretty sure the 6.5 measurement is not the same as the JCM/standard half-block measurement.
Eh.. that can be recovered and not half blocked.
Ive seen worse.
Found it... Kid took it to a bench grinder, no really then asked me to make it less ugly.
The top rail has a bunch more milling on it but I neglected to take a picture.
jcm says 3.2
Can you post a closely of the crappy "milling" job?
Looks like someone found out that die grinder bits like to dance around in aluminum a LOT, haha, save that poor thing, you will be doing the entire pump community a favor.
