Compare the valve body and the valve stem. Make sure the valve body has not become damaged.

if not - replace the valve pin assembly - nothing else makes sense.

Have you tried a different reg tester? Perhaps the one you are using isn't reading properly.

i need to search the work bench for an extra valve stem.

it reads correctly, i reset my t2 reg and it functions fine
